What inspires you the most when creating your music?

My signature sound or techniqe is making use of vocal chops which i create from scratch using a singers accapella, i like high energy in my tunes and vocals. The sound of a nice big and bright grand piano always my creativity going.

Which artists or music genres have influenced your style the most?

Norwegian Producer Kygo has always inspired me, started with his first big hit “Firestone” and his remix of “I see fire” I very much liked his style, Melodie’s and especially his vocal chops. He also made some videos how he created his music and he just sat there with a pc and a keyboard experimenting with Melodie’s, no big entourage only a couple sound engineers and mastering guys.

How do you ensure your sound remains unique in the ever-changing music industry?

I’ll pick a song that’s really missing some kind of beat drop and energy, I’ll start with the drums to really embed the temp of the song in my bran, after that I’ll like to mix the vocals so they sound energetic and also create a melody that’s simple yet funky, Combined with of course sometimes weird but groovey sounding vocal chops, i like the fact that some oohs and aahs (interjections) can if combined together can sound really interesting, the sounds of these chops often help me find interesting Melodie’s

Can you share an unforgettable moment from your career that still inspires you today?

1st thing that comes to mind is a collab with this other producer, he is bass player, that helps cause I’m not very into bass or guitars for that matter, and we were sharing some ideas and he send me processed/wet (edited/mastered) vocals and bassline of “meduza- paradise” and I really needed to adapt on the foundation that was already laid down.

What advice would you give to young creatives in the music world?

Im stil young myself, i would tell em if they got an interest in music and good hearing and concentration i'd say give music production or learning how to play an instrument like piano, guitar or drums. Its really doable with the right amount of dedication and it makes a great and pretty affordable hobby.

Get started with that ear training, analyse others songs, what instruments you hearing, be specific (base dum, snare drum, clap, piano) or else look up some detailed videos of your favorite artist online, theres a good change they posted a video how they make that song.

This interview was conducted as part of #ForTheCreatives, a segment of Masqeur. The goal is to spotlight and celebrate upcoming artists, sharing their unique journeys and inspiring creativity within our community.
